Local Government Extraordinary Postal Election Election Notice

The City of Karratha is holding an extraordinary election by postal vote on Thursday, 17 October 2024 to fill a vacancy in the office of Councillor as listed below:

District 1 Councillor

HARRIS, Geoff
LEVISSIANOS, George
SORRELL, Liam
MULVANEY, Ken
GRABENHOFER, Kristie
SOUTH, Michelle
DAVY, Bradley
SWAFFER, Jodie

Election Packages will be sent to all electors on the local government electoral roll where there is an election in their electorate.

You may hand deliver your postal voting papers, or obtain a replacement package (if the package is not received, or should any papers be missing), during business hours before election day from the following location:

  • City of Karratha, 1083 Welcome Road, KARRATHA

You may also hand deliver your postal voting papers at the following locations during the days and times indicated:

  • Dampier Library, 3 High Street, DAMPIER, Monday 14 - Wednesday 16 October between 9.00am to 4.00pm*
  • Wickham Community Hub, Carse Street, WICKHAM, Monday 14 - Wednesday 16 October between 9.00am to 4.00pm*

*(please note that both libraries are closed between 12.00-12.30 every day)

Post your vote early. Completed postal voting packages must reach the Returning Officer by 6.00pm on election day, Thursday, 17 October 2024.

You may hand deliver your postal voting papers to an electoral officer, or obtain a replacement package (if the package is not received, or should any papers be missing), on election day at the following locations:

Chief Polling Place:

  • City of Karratha, 1083 Welcome Road, KARRATHA between 8.00am to 6.00pm

Other Polling Places:

  • Dampier Library, 3 High Street, DAMPIER between 9.00am to 2.00pm
  • Roebourne Library, 38 Roe Street, ROEBOURNE between 10.00am to 2.00pm
  • Wickham Community Hub, Carse Street, WICKHAM between 9.00am to 2.00pm

The count of votes will commence after 6.00pm at the City of Karratha Council Chambers, 1083 Welcome Road, KARRATHA.

Electronic Counting Place
Level 2, 66 St Georges Terrace, Perth may be used as an electronic counting place.
