Preferential consideration for regional businesses gives local suppliers an advantage in the City’s procurement and tender processes, helping to provide opportunities and support to local business.
Along with standard tender/quotation considerations, the City’s Regional Price Preference encourages local suppliers to work with the City of Karratha.
This policy applies to all City tenders and quotations above $5,000 (excluding GST), with the exception of quotes obtained from a supplier under an existing Internal Preferred Supplier Contract or a Prequalified Supplier appointed by the City to a Panel.
