Council Representation

Recent legislative reforms to the Local Government Act 1995 will result in Council reducing from 10 to 9 elected member representatives in 2025 which includes the election of a popularly elected mayor by electors.

The next local government election will be held Saturday 18 October 2025 with five seats being contested. This election will be conducted via a postal vote.

In the 2025 Local Government Election there will be four contested seats with 4-year terms and one contested seat with a two-year term.
