Church Way and Tambrey Park Replacement - Playground Revitalisation

The City of Karratha is upgrading two much-loved playgrounds as part of our ongoing Playground Revitalisation Project.

Parks under renewal:

  • Church Way Park, Baynton
  • Tambrey Park, Tambrey Estate

These upgrades are designed to create modern, safe, inclusive and engaging play environments for families and children of all abilities.

Why are these parks being upgraded?

Every two years, the City of Karratha conducts a comprehensive audit of all City-managed playgrounds. Playgrounds are prioritised for renewal when they approach the end of their service life, ensuring they continue to meet safety standards, reduce ongoing maintenance, and provide improved facilities for our community.

Church Way and Tambrey Park have reached the stage where renewal is necessary. The new play spaces will feature equipment and design elements that support inclusivity, accessibility and active play for children and caregivers of all abilities.

During the works, both parks will be temporarily inaccessible. The community is encouraged to use other nearby playgrounds.

We appreciate the community’s patience during these works and look forward to welcoming families back to the revitalised parks soon.
