Budget Highlights

The City of Karratha is delivering on the projects, and outcomes you identified in the Council Plan 2025-2035, while continuing to provide the infrastructure and services you rely on.

The 2026/27 Budget delivers a balanced approach, responding directly to community feedback on the services and facilities that matter most, while ensuring the needs for the future of Karratha are met.

This year will see significant investment across all towns, such as the $4M Bathgate Road upgrade, $4.03M Kevin Richards Memorial Oval hardcourt works, and the $2M Roebourne Recreation Precinct master plan, along with upgrades to parks, footpaths and community facilities.

On top of our investments in infrastructure and facilities we continue to offer a vast range of free, family-friendly events as part of our annual programming and supporting our residents by providing the community services they deserve.

Guided by the Council Plan and shaped by community feedback, these projects will deliver the infrastructure, services and facilities our community needs today, while preparing Karratha, Dampier, Wickham, Roebourne and Point Samson for future growth.

Together, they represent another important step towards achieving our vision of Australia's most liveable regional city.
