Final community feedback sought to influence the next 10 years of Waste Management in the city.
The City of Karratha has developed a Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy and Action Plan to guide the management of waste over the next decade.
This strategy will guide the City on how to handle waste more effectively and sustainably, provide clear directions for improving services and infrastructure related to waste management and recycling.
An initial round of consultation was held with the community and stakeholders in April and has been used to create the draft strategy.
The City is now seeking community feedback on the draft document to ensure it reflects local priorities and needs.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said it was important to receive feedback.
“This draft strategy has been shaped by the ideas and feedback shared during community and stakeholder consultation,” Cr Scott said.
“We’re now inviting you to review the draft and share your thoughts before it is finalised and this feedback will help shape the future of waste and resource recovery in our City.”
