Phase one and two of Roebourne Streetscape Master Plan complete

A major milestone has been reached in the Roebourne town centre revitalisation, with the civic and landscaping works of phases one and two now complete.

These works were completed on 28 November, with upgrades to Queen, Withnell, Padbury, and Wellard Street intersections, and the infill between Withnell and Wellard Streets.

The Roebourne Streetscape master plan was developed in consultation with the community, and is a long-term transformative project aimed at rejuvenating the streets of Roebourne.

The City is currently arranging for modified sections of the road to receive new asphalt, which will close out the works for phases one and two of the master plan.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the completion of the first two phases marks an important milestone for Roebourne.

“These works are a significant step forward in delivering the community’s vision for a revitalised and welcoming town centre,” Mayor Scott said.

“The upgrades already completed are creating a safer, more accessible and more vibrant environment for residents, visitors and local businesses.”

Mayor Scott said the project reflects the City’s commitment to partnering with the community to deliver long-term improvements.

“We look forward to continuing this momentum as future stages roll out.”

The project was supported by funding partners Rio Tinto and Woodside Energy,
