2025 Local Government Ordinary Postal Election - Election Notice 22 September

The City of Karratha is holding an election by postal vote on Saturday, 18 October 2025 to fill vacancies in the offices of Councillors as listed below:

Election Packages will be sent to all electors on the local government electoral roll where there is an election in their 
electorate.


You may hand deliver your postal voting papers, or obtain a replacement package (if the package is not 
received, or should any papers be missing), during business hours before election day from the following 
location:


City of Karratha Administration Centre, (Lot 1083) Welcome Road, KARRATHA — 8.30am-4pm


Post your vote early. Completed postal voting packages must reach the Returning Officer by 6.00pm on election 
day, Saturday, 18 October 2025.


You may hand deliver your postal voting papers to an electoral officer, or obtain a replacement package (if the 
package is not received, or should any papers be missing), between 8am and 6pm on election day at the following 
location:


Chief Polling Place:
City of Karratha Council Chambers, 7-17 (Lot 1083) Welcome Road, KARRATHA


Other Polling Places on election day:
Dampier Public Library, Dampier Community Hub, 3 High Street, DAMPIER between 8am and 4pm
Roebourne Public Library, 38 Roe Street, ROEBOURNE between 9am and 2pm
Wickham Community Hub, Carse Street, WICKHAM between 8am and 4pm


The count of votes will commence after 6pm at the City of Karratha Council Chambers, 1083 Welcome Road, 
KARRATHA.


Electronic Counting Place
77 – 89 Kurnall Road, Welshpool WA 6106 may be used as an electronic counting place.
